Hey Sarah,

I think it is great that you love poetry and want to become a great poet. I would suggest reading Shakespeare, Sidney, Wyatt, Donne, Chaucer, Poe, Frost, etc. There is nothing better than reading good poetry because it teaches us the tools of expression.

On another note, I do not consider a poet to be "experienced" at 127 or so poems. I would remind you that many people have written thousands and thousands of poems. I am also a year out of high school, so I understand your ambitions! I am currently in college studying creative writing and political science; if you are truly interested in poetry, I would suggest some poetry classes because they are really helpful!
